Your child is suffering from a complex disease caused by the smoke of smokers

Smoking is harmful to health, this bad habit can lead to cancer-like death in the body - we all know that. But how many of you know that without smoking you or your child can be at risk of health risks and complex diseases like smokers?

We can refer to those who are indirectly exposed to cigarette smoke as non-smokers as ‘secondhand smokers’. With breathing, we can become secondhand smokers. In that case, about 400 chemical compounds are constantly entering our body like smokers without knowing it. Among those chemical compounds, about 50 can cause cancer.

According to a study by the American Academy of Pediatrics, third-hand smokers are among us. The answer is that even if they are not in direct contact with smokers, they are staying or going to a place where someone has smoked a while ago. Smoking toxins can be found in these places. For example, in a car seat, in upholstery, in a smoker's clothes, in a smoker's body, or even in the hair, the toxic chemicals remain in the smoke for at least three to four hours.

The reason is that the secondhand smoker or indirectly in contact with the smoker. Saliva tests were also conducted on six primary school children in Mirpur area and six in Savar area of the capital, out of which 479 children were found to have harmful nicotine in their saliva.

Dangerous aspects of smoking:
It is generally advisable to refrain from smoking during pregnancy. One study found that even if a pregnant woman refrains from smoking herself, if a neighbor or family member smokes, she is also at risk as a 'secondhand smoker'. Which can cause harm to yourself and your baby.

Problems that may arise in this case-

 1. Miscarriage can occur (miscarriage is when the ovum comes out at any time during the next five months (20 weeks) after fertilization).

 2. Giving birth to incomplete children.

 3. The baby may be underweight.

 4. Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) or 'premature death' syndrome can be affected.

 5. The child may have problems learning or concentrating on different subjects. Children breathe very fast.

Moreover, the size of the airways in children is much smaller. In this case, the children's airways and lungs are severely damaged by the smoke. This greatly increases their risk of colds, bronchitis, asthma and pneumonia.

6. Tooth decay may occur.

Long-term effects that can read:

 1. Children who grow up seeing smoker parents are many times more likely to be smokers.

 2. The lungs do not form properly (reduced lung function).

 3. Lung cancer.

 4. Heart disease.

 5. Cataracts.

What we can do to be saved:
First,
the best way to protect yourself is to stay away from smoking. And if that is not possible, smoking outside the home can be done. And if you want to smoke privately at home, a separate place can be set aside for smoking, a place where the access of others is reserved while smoking or at other times.

Second,
many people are seen smoking by lowering the window glass on the car or bus. It is not enough to get the smoke out. On the other hand, when the outside air comes in while moving, the smoke goes inside the vehicle again. So you should refrain from smoking in vehicles.

Third, before enrolling your child in school, you can find out if anyone smokes during their stay at that school. The school can be called Tobacco Free School or Care Center.

Fourth, you can also make sure that no one around you smokes where the children play. Fifth, if someone smokes on the street or in a public place, you can alert him.
